New Water & Sewer Rates and Paperless Billing Take Effect January 1

On September 22, the Atlantis County Board of Supervisors, acting as the Board of Directors of the Atlantis County Water & Sanitation District, adopted new water and sewer rates that will take effect with bills issued on or after January 1, 2027. The Board also approved the launch of paperless billing for all customers.

The adjustments fund $96 million in water main replacement, treatment plant upgrades, and drought-resilience projects over the next five years. A typical single-family home using 11 HCF per month will see an increase of about $8.50 per month.
